Wayfinding and Signage System

BLVD World uses a colour-coded directional signage system. Each zone is assigned a colour, and all pathways display zone-colour arrows at decision points — intersections where multiple routes diverge.

Signage Types

Three types of signage structures appear throughout the park:

  • Overhead arch signs: At zone thresholds. Display the zone name, colour, and symbol.
  • Directional pylons: At path intersections. Display multiple zone arrows with distances in metres.
  • Ground markers: Coloured pavement strips on main paths. Follow your zone's colour to stay on the most direct route.

If you are lost: Any orange-and-white information column (located at all major path intersections) has a "You Are Here" map panel showing your current position relative to all zone entry arches and gates. Information columns are listed with an information symbol (ℹ) on the park map.

Accessibility Services

The park is designed to accommodate visitors with physical disabilities and mobility limitations. The following services and provisions are available.

Mobility Access

All primary visitor paths are paved, level, and suitable for wheelchairs and mobility scooters. Where elevation changes occur, ramps are provided alongside any steps. All restroom facilities include at least one accessible unit.

An Accessibility Service Centre is located at Gate 1, staffed throughout operating hours. This centre provides:

  • Wheelchair and mobility scooter hire (advance booking via official booking platform recommended)
  • Accessibility guide (printed, larger-print, and audio versions available)
  • Ride accessibility cards for guests who are unable to wait in standard queue environments
  • Companion pass for carers accompanying guests with a disability

Ride Accessibility

Each attraction at the park posts accessibility information at the ride entry point, including:

  • Whether guests may ride with a wheelchair or remain seated in their own device
  • Transfer requirements for rides with fixed seating
  • Rider swap policy for guests with mobility limitations who attend with others

Sensory Considerations

Guests with sensory sensitivities should note that Adventure Canyon and Fantasy Realm contain areas with elevated sound levels and intermittent flashing light effects. Discovery Pavilion's simulator experiences include motion and some audio intensity. Sensory detail cards for each zone are available at Gate 1 Accessibility Service Centre.

Prayer Facilities

Prayer facilities are available at the following locations within the park. All prayer rooms are separated by gender and include washing facilities.

Location Capacity Washing Facilities
Gate 1 – entry plaza40 personsYes
Heritage Quarter – central courtyard60 personsYes
World Showcase – east end30 personsYes
Gate 4 – entry plaza40 personsYes

Prayer times are displayed on digital boards at each prayer room entrance. These update automatically to reflect the current day's schedule.

First Aid and Health Services

First aid stations are located at all four gates and at two mid-park positions (Adventure Canyon and Waterfront Promenade). Stations are staffed by trained first aid personnel throughout operating hours.

For medical emergencies, contact any park staff member or use the emergency call buttons located on all directional pylons. The park's response team can reach any point within the park in under five minutes.

Heat management

BLVD World operates year-round in Riyadh, where outdoor temperatures can exceed 40°C in summer months. All rest points have shade structures and water stations. Visitors are advised to use the shaded rest points at regular intervals, particularly on outdoor routes, and to ensure adequate hydration throughout their visit. Discovery Pavilion provides a substantial fully climate-controlled environment useful for midday recovery.

Lockers and Storage

Locker facilities are available at Gate 1, Gate 2, and within Adventure Canyon (adjacent to the ride boarding areas). Lockers operate on a contactless payment system (card or mobile payment; cash not accepted).

Small lockers (suitable for bags up to approximately 5 litres) are available at all three locations. Large lockers (suitable for pushchairs and larger bags) are available at Gate 1 only. All lockers are rented by the day, not by the hour.

Language and Information Support

All park signage is bilingual — Arabic and English. Information desk staff at all gates are able to communicate in Arabic and English. The park map is available in both languages.

For guests requiring assistance in other languages, interpretation support via a phone-based service is available at the Gate 1 information desk.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I buy food inside the park?

Dining options are available across most zones. Heritage Quarter has the largest concentration of dining (two full-service restaurants and four quick-service counters). Waterfront Promenade has the park's primary table-service lakeside restaurants. World Showcase has food options in each pavilion. Vending and snack points are available at rest points throughout the park.

Can I bring my own food and drink?

Outside food and beverages are not permitted inside the park in most zones. A small amount of baby food, infant formula, and food required for medical dietary needs is permitted. Guests with specific medical dietary requirements should contact the Gate 1 information desk on arrival to confirm their specific situation.

Is smoking permitted in the park?

Smoking (including vaping) is not permitted within the park perimeter. Designated outdoor smoking areas are located outside each gate in the transition space between the gate and the parking zones. Re-entry to the park is permitted for the purpose of using external smoking areas.

What happens if I lose an item inside the park?

Report lost items to any information desk or directly to the Gate 1 information desk, which manages the lost and found service. Items found within the park are brought to Gate 1 and held for 30 days. After this period, unclaimed items are donated or disposed of. For items left on rides, contact the ride operations desk at the relevant attraction.

Are there height restrictions on rides?

Several attractions have height minimums and/or maximums. These are posted at the entry of each attraction and are enforced by ride operators. The main height restrictions are: Adventure Canyon inverted coaster — minimum 140 cm; Adventure Canyon horizontal coaster — minimum 120 cm; Fantasy Realm family coaster — no minimum, maximum 130 cm; Kids Kingdom rides — no minimum, maximum 130 cm. Discovery Pavilion simulators require guests to be able to sit independently and are not recommended for very young children.

Can I exit and re-enter the park?

Re-entry is permitted on the same day. A re-entry stamp or wristband is issued at any staffed exit point. Re-entry is not permitted after 22:00. See the Re-Entry Policy section in the Entrance Flow guide for full details.

Are photography and videography allowed?

Personal photography and non-commercial videography are permitted throughout the park. Professional photography equipment with lenses over 150mm, drones, tripods, and monopods require prior permission from the park's media team. Selfie sticks are not permitted on ride platforms or boarding areas. Photography of other visitors without consent is not permitted.

Is the park open during Ramadan?

The park operates during Ramadan with adjusted hours. During this period, the park typically opens later (after Iftar) and extends closing time accordingly. Dining options within the park observe the appropriate scheduling. The park's official booking platform publishes the current Ramadan operating schedule in advance of the period.
