Themed Zones
BLVD World is organised into seven distinct themed areas. Each zone has its own spatial layout, attraction category, dining options, and circulation pattern. This page describes each zone and how to orient yourself within it.
Park Layout Overview
The seven zones are arranged around a central plaza called the Grand Concourse, which acts as the primary orientation hub. All zones connect to the Grand Concourse via main pathways. The park is broadly divided into a north sector (Adventure Canyon, Heritage Quarter, Discovery Pavilion) and a south sector (Fantasy Realm, Waterfront Promenade, World Showcase, Kids Kingdom).
Zone transitions are marked by threshold arches and ground-level wayfinding markers. Each zone uses a distinct colour code on all directional signage throughout the park.
| Zone | Name | Sector | Colour Code | Closest Gate |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Adventure Canyon | North-West | Orange | Gate 2 |
| 2 | Heritage Quarter | North-Central | Gold | Gate 1 |
| 3 | Discovery Pavilion | North-East | Teal | Gate 3 |
| 4 | Fantasy Realm | South-Central | Purple | Gate 1 |
| 5 | Waterfront Promenade | South-East | Blue | Gate 4 |
| 6 | World Showcase | South-West | Green | Gate 2 |
| 7 | Kids Kingdom | Central-South | Yellow | Gate 1 |
Zone 1 – Adventure Canyon
High-intensity attractions are the primary feature of this zone.
Adventure Canyon occupies the north-western section of the park. It is designed for visitors seeking high-intensity physical experiences. The zone sits at a slightly elevated grade compared to the rest of the park, giving it a distinct topographical character.
Attractions
The zone centres on a series of roller coasters and drop-tower structures arranged along a winding canyon-themed pathway. There are two major coaster installations: one with a primarily horizontal profile and a second with an inverted element. Both have height restrictions indicated at the zone entry arch.
A rapids-style water ride occupies the eastern boundary of the zone. Visitors on this ride should expect moderate splashing. Locker facilities are available directly adjacent to the ride boarding point.
An outdoor stunt show arena is located at the northern edge of the zone. Performance schedules are posted at the arena entrance and at the zone threshold arch.
Entry and Circulation
The zone is most efficiently accessed via Gate 2, which connects directly to the zone's western boundary. Arriving through the Grand Concourse from Gate 1 adds approximately 8–10 minutes of walking time. There is no internal vehicle access within this zone.
Height restrictions apply. The two main coasters require riders to be a minimum of 120 cm and 140 cm respectively. Guests with children below these thresholds can use the rider swap facility at the boarding queues.
Zone 2 – Heritage Quarter
The Heritage Quarter uses architectural detail to convey historical context.
Heritage Quarter is positioned at the north-central section of the park, directly accessible from the main entrance via Gate 1. It is the zone with the highest density of shaded walkways and seating areas, making it a practical rest point between higher-intensity sections of the park.
Content and Experiences
The zone is structured as a sequence of architectural spaces that reference historical Arabian urban environments. Exhibits combine physical models, narrative panels, and interactive digital stations. A central courtyard contains a live performance space for traditional music and storytelling presentations.
Several craft demonstration workshops operate within the zone, where visitors can observe or participate in traditional activities. Workshop participation is included in standard park admission and does not require separate booking.
Dining
Heritage Quarter contains the park's largest concentrated dining area. Two full-service restaurants and four quick-service counters are located within a 200-metre stretch on the main zone path. Menu options focus on regional cuisine.
Zone 3 – Discovery Pavilion
Discovery Pavilion combines interactive exhibits with themed ride experiences.
Discovery Pavilion is located in the north-eastern sector, accessible from Gate 3. It is the only enclosed zone in the park, with a significant proportion of its content housed within climate-controlled structures. This makes it particularly useful during midday hours when outdoor temperatures are at their peak.
Attractions
The zone operates three large-format motion simulator experiences, a walk-through interactive installation on space exploration themes, and a robotics demonstration area aimed at younger visitors. The main simulator experiences accommodate up to 40 guests per session and run on a continuous rotation throughout operating hours.
Best time to visit this zone: Midday (12:00–15:00) when outdoor zones experience peak queue times. The enclosed simulators maintain their own queue rhythm and are generally more accessible during peak afternoon hours than outdoor attractions.
Zone 4 – Fantasy Realm
Fantasy Realm occupies the south-central area of the park, directly south of the Grand Concourse. It is the largest zone by area and the most visited, particularly by families. The zone's pathway network is designed as a loop, so visitors cannot inadvertently exit the zone without passing through all major attraction points.
Attractions
Fantasy Realm houses two major dark ride installations, a family-category roller coaster with a maximum height requirement of 100 cm, a 4D cinema experience, and multiple character meet and greet locations. The zone also contains the primary parade route section, with scheduled parades departing from the zone's southern end and traversing through it twice daily.
Circulation Notes
During parade times, the central path through Fantasy Realm is partially restricted to allow the parade to proceed. Visitors who need to pass through the zone during a parade can use the marked bypass paths on the zone perimeter.
Parade bypass: Two signed bypass paths — one on the eastern edge, one on the western edge — allow passage through Fantasy Realm during parade operations. Both paths connect to the Grand Concourse and Kids Kingdom.
Zone 5 – Waterfront Promenade
The Waterfront Promenade is designed for evening visits and is most active after sunset.
The Waterfront Promenade runs along the park's eastern boundary. It is structured as a linear path rather than a loop, with the southern end connecting to Gate 4 and the northern end connecting to Discovery Pavilion. The zone features an artificial lake that serves as the venue for the park's evening water and light show.
Evening Programming
The main attraction in this zone is a nightly water fountain and light display that runs for 25 minutes. Show times are printed on the park map and posted at the lake viewing terraces. Viewing position quality varies along the promenade; the central terrace opposite the main fountain array provides the widest field of view.
Dining
The zone contains a row of lakeside restaurant units oriented to face the water. These operate on table service and are the park's highest-capacity sit-down dining option. Reservations can be made at the zone entry point or through the park's booking system.
Zone 6 – World Showcase
The World Showcase features distinct pavilion structures for each represented region.
World Showcase is positioned in the south-western sector of the park. It is organised as a sequence of pavilions, each representing a different international cultural region. The pavilions are arranged along a curved path that begins at Gate 2 and terminates at the connection point with Waterfront Promenade.
Structure
Each pavilion contains a dining or retail component alongside a cultural exhibit or live performance element. There are eight pavilions in total, each occupying between 400 and 1,000 square metres. The pavilions are clearly separated by transition spaces that use architectural elements to mark the shift between represented regions.
Zone 7 – Kids Kingdom
Kids Kingdom uses scaled architecture and subdued sensory design for younger visitors.
Kids Kingdom is located between Fantasy Realm and the Grand Concourse, in the central-south area of the park. It is operationally distinct from the rest of the park in that all attractions within it are scaled and paced for children under the age of ten.
Attractions
The zone contains six ride installations, all of which have no height minimum and a maximum height of 130 cm (to ensure correct restraint fitment). In addition, there is an open play structure, a supervised soft-play enclosure, and three character meet and greet stations with waiting areas.
Supervision Requirements
Children under seven years must be accompanied by an adult at all times within Kids Kingdom. The zone perimeter uses managed access points rather than open connections, which reduces unintended exit by younger visitors.
Zone Connections and Transitions
Each pair of adjacent zones is connected by a named transition path. These transition zones are typically 60–120 metres long and serve a functional purpose in separating the visual and audio environments of adjacent themed areas.
